Kevin Maguire
Kevin Maguire made a huge impact in the late 1980s with his work on the revamp of Justice League that came to be known as Justice League International. His art style, which uniquely combines realism with a cartoonish edge, was perfect for the humorous approach taken by the writing team [Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis] and he created the iconic and much imitated team portrait for the cover of the first issue as well as such memorable scenes as Batman famously knocking out the obnoxious Green Lantern, Guy Gardner, with "one punch". Maguire then moved over to Marvel where he worked on the memorable 1991 mini-series, The Adventures of Captain America, which retold Cap's early days during World War II. He's worked on most of the main characters from DC & Marvel and remains a fan-favorite to this day.
